Description: This webinar will discuss how nutrition plays a key role in optimizing bone health through preventing bone resorption and optimizing bone density. What one eats, protein quality and quantity, the importance of fat intake, micronutrients and phytonutrients all comprise healthy bone. In addition, bone detractors such as very low carb diets, excessive alcohol intake need to be taken into consideration. Recommendations for selective supplementation will be discussed as well.

Instructions: After the webinar, the participant will complete the learner evaluation and post-test in the Online Education Center. The post-test is scored at 80% for passing. Once the evaluation and post-tests are completed, the participant will be able to access the CNE certificate.
To gain the continuing professional development contact hours offered for this webinar, the participant must view the entire webinar, complete an online post-test , and online evaluation. Only after these requirements are completed will a certificate will be issued.
National Association of Orthopaedic Nurses is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
