Learner Outcome
1. Based on the methods detailed in the education, the learner will adopt practices that result in positive outcomes for orthopaedic patients.
Description: It is important to understand the difference between EBP, research, and performance improvement. These methodologies can be used to impact the care and outcome of orthopedic patients, when implemented appropriately. EBP, research, and performance improvement are integral in their own way. Research develops new knowledge. EBP implements best practice to improve the care and outcomes of patients. Performance improvement is a methodological approach to improve practice. People will often confuse the three and are frequently uncertain how to conduct them. In this webinar, the presenter will review the three strategies, and will use examples to clarify. Ultimately, EBP, research, and performance improvement are used in their own unique way to impact patient care and outcomes.
Education Outcome: At least 50% of participants will report that the session provided information that would cause change(s) in the clinical setting and/or professional environment
